Hi,

A new project demands to generate dynamic PDF documents.
Is there anybody who knows if we can do that with Stambia?

I tried to find informations about python libraries (with the aim of using jython throw Stambia), such as pyPdf .
But that library doesn't seem to do what we need:
- write text in a specific area,
- generate arrays with a dynanic number of rows.

There is also Reportlab , for which I've found this example .
Moreover, the version of jython embedded in Stambia seems to be 2.2.1. Reportlab prerequisites 2.7.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Hello
as far as i know, stambia does not have a built-on PDF generation module.
I would say that using an external tool or library and invoke it from Stambia can be a good solution.

LibreOffice also has a command-line mode for converting documents to PDF.

Thank you @risson.
I took a look on LibreOffice and tested the comand-line.
So, we thought about writing an XLS file with Stambia and convert it with command-line (in Stambia).
The conversion works, but it is impossible to set the PDF (landscape, fit to one page, etc.).

But never mind, the project scope has moved, and we don't need to generate PDF file anymore

Anyway, I'm still curious to know how to do that...
